Q. What do I need to bring for my Cabin stay?
A. Since all towels, bed linens, pots/pans and dishes are provided, the only thing you need is food for cooking.
Q. What are the Hot Tubs like?
A. We have Nordic Spa Hot Tubs located outside on the patio. We keep them sparkling clean by changing the filters and water regularly. Daily checks for PH and chemical balance are also done. We provide robes and flip flops for our guests.
Q. What is there to do once we are there?
A. There is plenty to do. The hunting and fishing are GREAT. Canoeing is fun and Lake Michigan Beaches are a short distance from the Lodge too. There are local quaint shops and restaurants in Baldwin, great eateries in Branch, Walhalla, Scottville and Ludington. Traverse City offers BIG shopping, wineries and attractions to enjoy. Manistee, the Victorian Port on Lake Michigan, is 45 minutes away and offers gambling fun at the Little River Casino. Hiking the trails from Northern Escape Lodge is easy whether in summer or winter. Area festivals and events lend a taste of our culture to visiting guests such as music, arts and crafts and many annual weekend events. We can help with your itinerary planning so that you can make the most of your stay.
Q. What are the Lodge accommodations like?
A. In a word 'beautiful'. Guest rooms are spacious with Queen size beds made by the Amish and each bed is dressed in flannel sheets and comforters. Each room has its own private bath with plush towels, robes and flip flops to use when going to the hot tub. Fireplaces are usually on in cool nights. The decks that surround the Lodge have furniture to relax on.
Q. What is served for Breakfast at the Lodge?
A. A variety of foods! We offer a full breakfast complete with juice, coffee, eggs, bacon and toast. Or perhaps pancakes are in order with all the fixin's. We have other menu recipes that are shared with guests too. Should a guest have a special dietary need, we do our best to accommodate them as well.
Q. Do you ever do special pricing to include meals for a group?
A. Yes, all the time. Depending on what your need is and what your requests are, we will certainly pull a package together for your group. Lunch and dinner menus can be planned and a contract will be written.
Q. Can a person staying in the Cabin eat breakfast at the Lodge too?
A. Typically, the person who is staying in the Cabin wants the isolation from other company and since the Cabin is completely outfitted for meal planning, cabin guests usually do not eat at the Lodge. That being said, occasionally Cabin guests make arrangements to eat at the Lodge for a nominal fee when reservations are made well in advance. This allows planning and uninterrupted service to the Lodge guests.
